 Greenhouse First Year Achievements

 Producer Pieter Van Huystee from the Netherlands decided to join "On the Way to School" by Orhan Eskikoy and Ozgur Dogan, from Turkey, as a co-producer and already raised additional funds for shooting. The project was selected by the pitching forum panelists as the most promising film.
Sinai Abt, director of Channel 8 in Israel, agreed in advance to acquire the selected project for the foreign film slot to the amount of $2,000 .
Cara Mertes
from the Sundance Institute decided to award the project with an initial sum of $5,000. A full production grant could be available further along. This prestigious grant marks the important professional relationship established between Greenhouse and the Sundance Institute and the uncompromising support Greenhouse is receiving from one of the most significant organizations in the international documentary industry.

 Catherine le Clef from the International Distribution Company Fortissimo, expressed an interest in 3 projects and especially in "Not Quite the Talibans" by Fadi Hindash from Jordan. A co-production for director Fadi Hindash was already established with Epeios Films, Belgium, which led to an 80 min. rough-cut of the film.

 "Around" by Mohanad Yakoby and Sami Said from Palestine was sold (short version) to
Al-Jazeera TV Station.

 "Through Women's Eyes" by Nassima Guessoum from Algeria, was presented to the CNC, France, and received a grant of 7,000 EUR for the first phase of production. Producer Marie Mouchel-Blaisot joined the project as a co-producer for the international market.

 Channel 8 in Israel is negotiating the financing of Israeli-Palestinian project "The White Hallway" by director Rima Essa and producer Claudia Levin.
