Greenhouse - a Development of Documentary Films on the Theme of Racism & Human Rights

In late 2005, Greenhouse was selected by the EU as one of 12 projects in the framework of the EuroMed Audiovisual II Programme, to run a training programme for Mediterranean documentary filmmakers.

In its 4 years of activity, Greenhouse has achieved exceptional success and has become a leading organization for documentary filmmaking internationally.

Greenhouse is working with leading forces from the international audiovisual sector, commissioning editors, film funds directors, producers, distributors, TV stations and film festivals from all over the world - The Sundance Institute, Jan Vrijman Fund (IDFA), ARTE/ZDF, ITVS, Channel 4, BBC Worldwide, World Cinema Fund, P.O.V USA, MDR Germany, Istanbul International Film Festival, The Binger Film Institute, Hamburg Film Fund, Holland Film Fund and many others.

In 2009, Managing Director of the Greenhouse Project, Sigal Yehuda together with Greenhouse' 4 partners - New Foundation for Cinema & Television, Dorit Inbar, Israel; Zebra Productions, Antonio Saura, Spain; Ankara Cinema Association, Ahmet Boyacioglu, Turkey; and VOF Appel&Honigmann, John Appel from the Netherlands, initiated a new Development programme of Documentary Films on the Theme of Racism and Human Rights for European & MEDA filmmakers, the EU in the framework of Media International decided to support the new initiative.
