Greenhouse reception at IDFA 2007

 

Greenhouse celebrated its final first year in an extremely successful reception at the international documentary film festival IDFA in Amsterdam.
 Documentary film executive representatives such as Alli Derks IDFA's director, ARTE's program manager Thierry Garrel, Iikka Vehkalahti program manger of the Finnish TV station YLE, Dick Fontaine director of the documentary department of the British NFTS, Viktor Koskovsky a renowned filmmaker and many others, have honored the event with their presence.
In his speech, David Fisher the director of Greenhouse presented last year's achievements, followed by words from Cara Mertes the head of the documentary department at the Sundance institution.
Mertes also granted a development scholarship to the chosen Greenhouse project. The project's trailer that was screened at the end of her speech received enthusiastic response from the audience.
Distributors, program managers and funds approached the producers of the film and were interested in the possibility of investing in it.
At the end of the event, a special dinner for Greenhouse' filmmakers and supporters was held with the support of Cara Mertes from the Sundance institution and Greenhouse.
