Pitching Forum - Third Seminar – Istanbul, Turkey, October 2007


Greenhouse's third seminar culminated in a pitching forum, during which the participants presented their projects.
The Pitching forum was moderated by Philippe Van Meerbeeck, Commissioning Editor, VRT, Belgium

During this pitching forum, the participants presented their projects in front of top industry guests such as:

At the end of these presentations, the panel members selected "On the Way to School" by Orhan Eskikoy and Ozgur Dogan, as the best project. Sinai Abt, director of Channel 8 in Israel, agreed in advance to acquire the selected project for the foreign film slot on his channel, to the amount of $2,000.
Furthermore, Cara Mertes from the Sundance Institute decided to award the project $5,000, to continue filming and production. The filmmakers will be able to submit the film to the Sundance Institute later on and request a full production grant.

After the Pitching forum, personal meetings were held between each of the participants and the panel members. In this framework, they discussed further support options and future collaborations with TV Stations and film funds, producers and distributors.
