Temporal Joy

It is an inquiry film about how the prescription drug Tramadol, famous in Gaza, is misused with devastating effects for individuals and for the community. The film deals with the community's post-addiction future.

It will follow the lives of five characters who live in Gaza and who are connected with each other by the addictive drug. Tramal is for each of them, each in his own way, the most important thing in their lives. The film will live with them, showing the reality of drug addiction and how it affects Gazan life and society on many levels, showing the reality of the changes in their lives caused by addiction.

 

Searching for Janitou

How a 70's Bollywood film who was a flop in India and around the world, swept Algeria in the 80's and became a major segment of the Algerian collective memory.
Exploring this unique phenomenon, Searching For Janitou weaves a funny and touching story and reveals through a prism colorful identity sinking of an entire people.
It's a tribute to Cinema and a personal portrait of a country through the eyes of a 30 years old Algerian man, in search of his identity and legacy.

From the snowy Golan heights till the devastated dead sea, Five men, confronting nature, along one dying river and its collapsing land. "H2O" follows Israel's main water route from the moment a snowflake gently lands on the snowy summit, all the way down the Jordan River till its integration into the deathly silence of the Dead Sea.
Through this journey we become acquainted with 5 unique men whose worlds intersects with this delicate water route, and whose lives bound with it.
 


Where the Desert Meets Mountains

Where the Desert Meets Mountains is a sentimental and intimate documentary where we discover the last nomadic families in their community and their stunning environment while sharing the memories and stories of a nomad who left his old way of living decades ago to settle in the industrial Casablanca. The parallel between these two stories and these two environments draw a picture of a dying community in a society that is inperpetual transition between a traditional way of life and modernity.

The Wonderful Kingdom of Papa Alaev

A story about a Tajik musical family, based in Israel, that is led by a charismatic, funny, and controlling grandfather, whose son blindly obeys him, and whose daughter left yet desperately wants to return.

At 80, Papa is losing his grip on the family and unwillingly starting to step down from his throne, while the family tries to survive this rigid and unsure transition from Monarchy to democracy.
 

Archive Fever

In 1982, during the first Lebanon war, a Palestinian film archive disappears. 30 years later, 117 Palestinian films rolls are found by an Israeli filmmaker in an Israeli film archive. She embarks on a journey to find people who were filmed and return the lost footage, while confronting obstacles from both Israeli and Palestinians.


   


The Beetle School

In the desert, on the border between Mali and Mauritania, a nomadic school for Tuareg children thrives in the refugee camp. The school is initiated by a former rebel and against all odds; the children and their families reaffirm their Tuareg culture and identity despite the ravages of war and genocides.
