Countdown to Death presents the chilling events of the 1994 kidnapping of a 19-year-old Israeli soldier by members of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas. The group demanded the immediate release of their religious leader, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, as well as other Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the life of the abducted soldier.
The abduction lasted six days until its inevitable tragic ending. Six intensive, hectic days that created painful human dramas: Between hostage and abductors, with families hanging between hope and despair.
