Elsa Ginoux & Tuğçe Aydın, Turkey
An uprooting, a hundred years of silence, a search of a memory, a reconstruction of the past, a wave of new meaning: the revolt of a young woman against oblivion. Tuğçe keeps on encountering objects that used to belong to Armenian survivors, either through their descendants or in flea markets. As she investigates their stories, they lead her on a journey back to Turkey’s multicultural past, a journey that will change the way she apprehends her own identity.
