Greenhouse's third and final seminar, which took place in Izmir, Turkey between June 9th-15th, 2015, successfully concluded the seven month development process of 12 projects. 16 participants from: Afghanistan, Iran, Israel, Palestine, Morocco and Turkey presented their written proposals, as well as their projects' trailers, in front of an esteemed panel of international professionals. During the seminar's sixth intensive work day the filmmakers refined their oral and visual project presentations. The program culminated in a pitching forum, attended by key leaders in the international documentary market:

Adriek van Nieuwenhuyzen: IDFA/Bertha Foundation/the Netherlands
Charlie Philips: The Guardian /UK
Claire Aguilar: Sheffield/DocFest/UK
Gitte Hansen: First Hand Films/Switzerland

The participants worked on fine-tuning their trailers with professional film editors: Srdjan Fink (the Netherlands), Veronique Lagoarde-Segot (France) and Obbe Verwer (the Netherlands) - joined by their mentors & special expert: John Appel, Bruni Burres, Nenad Puhovski and Hans Robert Eisenhauer and by the Greenhouse team, Director Sigal Yehuda and Head of Studies Yair Lev.
In addition to work with their mentors, the experts and the Greenhouse team, the filmmakers participated in a pitching workshop with Paul Pauwels, a prominent Belgian expert & producer and currently the director of the EDN. During this session, the filmmakers learned different techniques of pitching a project. The participants simulated their pitches in front Pauwels, who was subsequently the moderator of the pitching forum itself.

Greenhouse Special Expert, Hans Robert Eisenhauer, gave a lecture on co-production and financing documentaries in the international market. Eisenhauer also held one-on-one meetings with the filmmakers, in preparations for their meetings with the pitching forum panel members.
During the final day of the seminar, each of the filmmakers had a one-on-one meeting with each of the panel members to further discuss their projects' potential and future on the international market. Sergi Dolade, Director of MEIMED, the Euro-Mediterranean Documentary Market & Pitching Forum, Spain, presented awards to two of the filmmakers, at the seminar's closing party. The two filmmakers will be invited to pitch their documentary projects at this year’s MEDIMED Pitching Forum in Sitges, Spain, in October 2015. MEDIMED will also organize one-on-one meetings with decision-makers and key industry professionals attending the market, to ensure that both projects are connected with the right people. The two selected projects are: 'Braving the Waves' By Mina Keshavarz from Iran; 'Weight Throwers' by Hind Bensari from Morocco.
