New Greenhouse film starts its festival circuit!

The film '10949 Women' by Nassima Guessom from Algeria will premier at the Festival du Film Arabe de Fameck, France, at the end of October 2014
In Algeria the filmmaker meets Nassima Hablal, a forgotten heroine of the Revolution. She was the secretary of the political head of the FLN, National Front of Liberation. Like a grandmother with her granddaughter, the old charming lady, tells the filmmaker her story of a woman in the war and her fight for an independent Algeria. Every year the filmmaker goes back to visit her.
' 10949 Women' will also screen at the 7th International Cairo International Women's film festival in the International Panorama 29th November - 6 December; at the 4th FIDEL festival for equality and persity in Paris on the 6th of December, 2014; and at the 5Th Journées cinématographiques in Algeria in the documentary competition, November 8th-12th, 2014

Nassima Guessom participated in Greenhouse's first round in 2007, supported by the EU in the framework of the Euromed Audiovisual II Program.
